Caesars Entertainment expands WSOP Online


Caesars Entertainment, Inc. today announced an expansion of the WSOP Online poker platform, now pooling liquidity in Pennsylvania with its three existing jurisdictions: Nevada, New Jersey and Michigan. The move positions Caesars as the first online poker operator to share liquidity across four U.S. jurisdictions, establishing WSOP Online as the only platform in the U.S. where players from all four states can compete in the same player pool. The inclusion of Pennsylvania follows Michigan's integration with Nevada and New Jersey on WSOP Online in May 2024, marking another significant milestone in the development of WSOP Online as the premier online poker site.

In addition to the announcement of shared liquidity across another jurisdiction, Caesars today unveiled the 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet schedule. The schedule will once again feature 30 bracelet events coinciding with the 56th annual World Series of Poker, which will be held for the fourth consecutive year at Caesars Rewards destinations Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip.

“The addition of the Pennsylvania player pool to WSOP Online comes at the perfect time, and we’re ready to give avid poker players in The Keystone State the opportunity to raise the stakes on their poker play,” said Danielle Barille, Vice President of Online Poker at Caesars Entertainment. “This expansion enhances the experience for players by building even greater prize pools that are up for grabs all summer long as a part of our jam-packed WSOP Online schedule. We’re ready to see who earns our largest online prize pools ever once the first hands are dealt this summer.”

The first Online Bracelet event kicks off on 31 May with a total of five live final tables, and the final event begins on 15 July. In 2025, WSOP Online will introduce an Online Bracelet Leaderboard, offering over $30,000 in prizes for the first time. Participants in the Online Gold Bracelet events will accumulate leaderboard points, with the highest scorer being honored as the 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet Player of the Year.

Every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday of the series will feature an official gold bracelet up for grabs, from the $333 Triple Treys No Limit Hold’em event on 8 June to the $5,300 WSOP Online High Roller Championship on 9 July. Last year, over $30 Million in prize money was awarded from Online Bracelet events in June and July. This year, the schedule is highlighted by six Mystery Bounty tournaments with $5.5 Million in guarantees.

In addition, exclusive satellites to qualify for land-based tournaments will be offered on WSOP Online, with entry fees as low as $1. These satellites will be daily single-table satellites and massive promotions, such as the guaranteed 25-seat Main Event mega-satellites on 29 June and 1 July where 25 $10,000 Main Event Seats are guaranteed for every event. Ten Online Bracelet events will also begin online, playing under a hybrid format, with their final tables contested live in Las Vegas at the WSOP. WSOP satellites outside the United States are currently underway and held exclusively at GGPoker.

Players are permitted to play on WSOP Online while simultaneously participating in live WSOP events at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas which will run from 27 May to 16 July, with poker’s undisputed world championship, also known as the “Main Event,” beginning on 2 July.

Caesars debuts first live dealer studio inside a Caesars Rewards destinations


Caesars Entertainment, Inc. today announced the launch of its first branded, live dealer studio inside one of its world-class destinations made possible through its partnership with Evolution. The debut of the space inside Tropicana Atlantic City in New Jersey marks the second custom studio made for Caesars live dealer offerings on its online casino platforms following the launch of its first such studio in Pennsylvania earlier this year.

Players 21 and older on Caesars’ online gaming platforms Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino can now enjoy a live dealer experience on mobile that draws inspiration from table game play at the Las Vegas Strip’s most iconic casino, Caesars Palace.

Caesars Entertainment celebrates grand opening of Caesars Virginia


Caesars Entertainment celebrated the grand opening of its highly anticipated destination Caesars Virginia earlier today. The luxury resort opened its doors for the first time following a ceremony led by Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg, Caesars Entertainment President & COO Anthony Carano, Caesars Entertainment Regional President Barron Fuller, Caesars Virginia General Manager Chris Albrecht and Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Chief Michell Hicks. Danville Mayor Alonzo Jones, Virginia Lottery Executive Director Khalid Jones, Senator Tammy Mulchi, Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade Maggie Beal and hundreds of community members joined the celebration.

“This beautiful destination encompasses what the Caesars brand is all about,” said Caesars Entertainment President & COO Anthony Carano. “From exceptional restaurants, high-energy gaming and exciting entertainment, Caesars Virginia has it all. The morning began with a car parade of race cars and supercars supplied by Virginia International Raceway, Kaizen Autosport and Foreign Cars Italia weaving through the heart of Danville. Five-time NBA Champion and the league’s “best rebounding forward in NBA history,” Dennis Rodman was the parade’s master of ceremonies. Rodman, Caesar, Cleopatra and Mayor Jones rode in the vehicles that stopped at the front of the new resort for the opening ceremony. Following the ribbon-cutting, guests were ushered into the new 587,000-square-foot resort to place their bets for the first time. Rodman placed the first ceremonial bet in the new state-of-the-art Caesars Sportsbook, betting a $100 five-leg parlay on all five teams he played for in the NBA to win their next game. The celebration capped off with an impressive fireworks and drone show by Grucci.

Caesars Entertainment closes sale of World Series of Poker brand


Caesars Entertainment, Inc. announced the closing of the previously announced sale of its intellectual property rights for the World Series of Poker brand to NSUS Group Inc. As previously disclosed, the transaction includes US$250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note due five years after the transaction’s closing secured by the WSOP intellectual property assets being sold.

Caesars retains the right from NSUS to host the flagship WSOP live tournament series at its Las Vegas casinos for the next 20 years and will receive a license from NSUS to continue operating its recently upgraded WSOP Online real-money poker business in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for the foreseeable future but will otherwise be restricted from operating online peer-to-peer real-money poker operations for a specified period of time and subject to certain exceptions. In addition, brick-and-mortar poker rooms currently operated by Caesars will continue to feature WSOP branding, and Caesars destinations will continue to enjoy preferential rights to host live WSOP Circuit events going forward.

Concurrent to the transaction, several long-time WSOP executives will transition to key leadership roles within the NSUS team. Ty Stewart will serve as Chief Executive Officer of the newly formed WSOP subsidiary, while Gregory Chochon has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer. Erik Eidissen also joins as Communications Manager. With more than 30 years of combined experience managing the WSOP brand, these employees will lead the next phase of growth and integration under new ownership.

Caesars Entertainment partners with the Detroit Lions


Caesars Entertainment, Inc. and the Detroit Lions today announced a new partnership, making Caesars Sportsbook an Official Sports Betting Partner and Caesars Entertainment the Official iGaming Partner of the Detroit Lions. The collaboration with the defending NFC North Champions combines custom fan experiences for Caesars Rewards® members with dynamic sponsorship assets and the use of official Detroit Lions logos and marks in multiple online casino games coming to Caesars’ digital platforms.

The first online casino game launch on behalf of this partnership will be a Live Dealer blackjack game featuring a custom-made Detroit Lions felt. Caesars Entertainment to sell World Series of Poker brand to NSUS Group


Caesars Entertainment, Inc. today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell its intellectual property rights for the World Series of Poker brand to NSUS Group Inc., a leading investment group in the iGaming space known for successfully launching several groundbreaking ventures, including the innovative online poker room, GGPoker. The transaction, valued at a total of US$500 million, includes US$250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note due five years after the transaction’s closing date secured by the WSOP intellectual property assets being sold.

As a part of this transaction, Caesars has secured the right from NSUS to continue hosting the WSOP’s flagship live tournament series at its Las Vegas casinos for the next 20 years. In addition, brick-and-mortar poker rooms currently operated by Caesars will continue to feature WSOP branding, and Caesars destinations will continue to enjoy preferential rights to host live WSOP Circuit (WSOP-C) events going forward.

Caesars achieves an all-time consolidated Adjusted EBITDA record in Q3


Caesars Entertainment, Inc., reported operating results for the third quarter ended on 30 September 2023.

Third Quarter 2023 and Recent Highlights:

GAAP net revenues of $3.0 billion versus $2.9 billion for the comparable prior-year period.

GAAP net income of $74 million compared to net income of $52 million for the comparable prior-year period.

“During the third quarter of 2023, the company achieved an all-time consolidated Adjusted EBITDA record,” said Tom Reeg, Chief Executive Officer of Caesars Entertainment, Inc. “We experienced Adjusted EBITDA growth year over year in all three of our primary operating segments including Las Vegas, Regional and Caesars Digital. Our Regional segment achieved an all-time quarterly Adjusted EBITDA record as we harvest the recent portfolio investments within this segment.”

As of 30 September 2023, Caesars had $12.5 billion in aggregate principal amount of debt outstanding. Total cash and cash equivalents were $841 million, excluding restricted cash of $174 million.
