Maryland generate $163.7 million in gaming revenue in June

Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $163,717,230 in revenue from slot machines and table games during June 2023, an increase of $971,931 (0.6%) compared to June 2022. Casino gaming contributions to the state in June 2023 totaled $69,430,233, an increase of $1,072,086 (1.6%) compared to June 2022. Contributions to the Education Trust Fund in June 2023 were $50,433,185, an increase of $764,425 (1.5%) compared to June 2022. Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses. Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel – Maryland in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Baltimore in Baltimore City; Ocean Downs Casino & Racetrack in Worcester County; Hollywood Casino – Perryville in Cecil County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.

The gaming revenue totals for June 2023 are as follows:

MGM National Harbor (2,290 slot machines, 210 table games) $69,043,101 in June 2023, an increase of $632,428 (0.9%) from June 2022

Live! Casino & Hotel – Maryland (3,845 slot machines, 179 table games) $57,979,627 in June 2023, an increase of $1,979,637 (3.5%) from June 2022

Horseshoe Baltimore (1,430 slot machines, 122 table games) $15,941,209 in June 2023, a decrease of $1,110,637 (-6.5%) from June 2022

Ocean Downs Casino & Racetrack (858 slot machines, 19 table games) $8,679,006 in June 2023, an increase of $125,524 (1.5%) from June 2022

Hollywood Casino – Perryville (690 slot machines, 19 table games) $6,954,407 in June 2023, a decrease of $433,399 (-5.9%) from June 2022

Rocky Gap Casino Resort (620 slot machines, 16 table games) $5,119,881 in June 2023, a decrease of $221,622 (-4.1%) from June 2022

Maryland casino revenue declines

MARYLAND -- For the second month revenue has declined at Maryland casinos, the Baltimore Sun reported. Revenue fell 8 percent year on year for the month of January, the report said.

Maryland Casinos generate $85.6 Million in revenue during December

MARYLAND -- The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency today announced December 2014 revenue numbers for the state’s five casinos – Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City, Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County, Maryland Live Casino in Anne Arundel County, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County. December 2014’s combined statewide revenue totaled $85,629,901.

Hollywood Casino Perryville generated $6,036,498 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $145.15 for slot machines, $1,922.53 for banking table games and $357.23 for non-banking table games. Hollywood Casino’s December 2014 revenue decreased by $454,046, or 7%, from December 2013. Hollywood Casino Perryville operates 1,158 slot machines and 22 (12 banking and 10 non-banking) table games.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore generated $22,909,698 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $152.12 for slot machines, $2,732.56 for banking table games and $1,013.61 for non-banking table games. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore operates 2,500 slot machines and 147 (122 banking and 25 non-banking) table games. The casino opened to the public in August 2014.

Maryland Live Casino generated $50,234,547 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $241.63 for slot machines, $3,889.86 for banking table games and $1,296.38 for non-banking table games. Maryland Live’s December 2014 revenue decreased by $2,298,021, or 4.4%, from December 2013. Maryland Live Casino operates 4,222 slot machines and 189 (137 banking and 52 non-banking) table games. Casino at Ocean Downs generated $3,372,910 in December, and its gross gaming revenue per unit per day was $136.00.

Maryland bill would fine underage casino gamblers

MARYLAND -- New legislation passed by House yesterday would see gamblers under 21 fined if caught, The Baltimore Sun reported. The legislation must be signed by Maryland's Gov. Martin O'Malley, but is endorsed by casinos, the report said.

Maryland: ricavi in crescita del 47%

MARYLAND - Le entrate di gioco per i casinò del Maryland sono aumentate del 47 per cento quest'anno,  ha sottolineato WBAL.

In totale i quattro casinò hanno visto 66,8 milioni dollari in ricavi in crescita del 47 per cento rispetto allo scorso anno, sottolinea il rapporto.

L'incremento dei ricavi è stata attribuita l'introduzione di giochi da tavolo, secondo il rapporto WBAL.
