PartyPoker launches online operations in Czech Republic

Partypoker has launched online operations in the Czech Republic in partnership with King's Casino, becoming only the second international operator to acquire an online gambling license in the country and only the second online licensed poker room.

The license agreement gives Czech players access to the site’s global liquidity dotcom poker games via its desktop software client, with games due to be rolled out across mobile in the near future.

Currently, all players wishing to play online at partypoker in the Czech Republic are required to undergo physical ID verification, which can be carried out at various Post Offices throughout the country and which will soon be offered onsite at King’s Casino in Rozvadov.

To mark the launch and to assist with ID verification, the largest poker room in Europe will host a series of live events, including the inaugural €110 buy-in Czech Poker Masters featuring a huge €552K GTD Main Event from 14-22 April, 2019. Online Day 1s to the event kick off 31 March.

Czech-based players can also enjoy a range of exclusive promotions offered by the poker site and take advantage of up to 25% cashback, while the site plans to launch its top tier “Diamond Club Elite” VIP offering within the country in the near future.

Tom Waters, managing director of partypoker, said, “We are delighted to be working with King’s Resort to offer online poker in the Czech Republic. We have some ambitious and exciting plans for 2019 in partnership with King’s and there will be plenty on offer for Czech players at partypoker.

“We look forward to announcing a host of launch promotions and events, alongside details of our product offering in the coming weeks.”
