This year’s PokerStars Southern European Championship of Online Poker (SECOOP) and Italian Championship of Online Poker (ICOOP) will award over €14.5 million in guaranteed prizes to the PokerStars community. The schedule will also include an unmissable Sunday Million tournament with thousands in added value.
SECOOP and ICOOP will take place from Sunday, 30 October to Sunday, 20 November, with over €9 million and €5.5 million guaranteed across each series respectively.
Due to the cancellation of the Galactic Series Main Events, PokerStars has added special edition Sunday Million tournaments on 6 November, each featuring €1 million guarantees.
Players can buy-in to the action directly for €250 or win a seat for less via special SECOOP Spin & Go’s or satellites from just €3. There’s €147,000 in added value satellites scheduled in SECOOP and €165,000 in ICOOP, giving more players an opportunity to qualify for the prestigious Sunday Million event.
“As with our WCOOP 2022: Take two events, we wanted to ensure our Southern European and Italian community also have the chance to take to the tables and play for a coveted title,” said Chris Straghalis, Director of Online Poker Experience for PokerStars. “The Sunday Million is one of our most prestigious tournaments and due to the Galactic Series cancellations, we’ve added thousands in added value satellites to give players plenty of ways to enjoy the Sunday Million and the SECOOP and ICOOP series.”
The SECOOP and ICOOP schedules are packed with big payouts with at least one €50,000 guaranteed tourney on every day of the series in SECOOP. Both series culminate with the Main Events on November 20, with €400,000 guaranteed in Southern Europe and €150,000 guaranteed in Italy.
Finally, there’s a host of other routes for the PokerStars community in France, Spain, Portugal, to win their way to each series via second chance freerolls and deposit offers.
