WPT Global announces major Fall Festival

WPT Global is amped to announce the release of the highly popular Mystery Bounty tournament format on the platform, alongside the unveiling of its largest guaranteed prize pool to date with the upcoming Fall Festival this September.

Mystery Bounty Tournaments Now Live

WPT Global's new Mystery Bounty format is now live, offering players an exciting twist on traditional bounty tournaments. This cross-platform feature, available to the entire player pool, introduces a unique element of surprise where the exact bounty amount remains a mystery until a player is eliminated. To understand how popular this format is, the $55 Lucky PKO $30,000 GTD was changed to a Mystery Bounty format this Sunday and broke its record entry number by over 130, reaching 771 entries by the end of the late reg period.

How Mystery Bounty Works:

- Beginning Phase: During this initial stage, players focus on building their stacks without any bounty rewards.

- Bounty Phase: Once the money bubble bursts, the Bounty Phase begins, where players can win Mystery Bounties for every opponent they eliminate. Each elimination awards a Mystery Chest, and the amount inside remains unknown until it is opened.

- Players can win multiple chests in a single hand, and in cases of split pots, the bounty may also be split. The Mystery Bounty pop-out feature, located in the top right corner of the table, allows players to track the distribution of bounties, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay.

In addition to this, a new final table animation and theme have been added to WPT Global, adding to the occasion fand bringing more WPT-themed prestige and excitement when tournaments reach the end stage.

Cash Game Updates

WPT Global has also introduced an update for cash game players. When a player leaves a cash game and wishes to return within 30 minutes, they will now be required to buy-in for the same amount they left with. This feature applies to No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) games. In PLO5, players will see the default buy-in screen with an option to buy-in for the same amount or more if desired. This update aims to maintain game integrity and provide a consistent playing experience, stopping ratholing and other behaviors which damage games.
