The WPA forms an International Board Division

The Women's Poker Association formed the WPA International Board Division. This new board division will enable it to expand its reach and impact in the global poker community.

The WPA is committed to elevating and celebrating women in poker across the borders, and they believe the WPA International Division will play a key role in achieving this goal. They look forward to working with poker operators from around the world to bring awareness to the WPA Initiatives & Programs such as Raise it Up, WPA Advocates and Final Table Celebrations.

"The WPA is proud to have Ivonne Montealegre as Vice President, International Division,” said Tara Smith, WPA President. “Her passion for women in poker and proven leadership skills, make her the perfect fit for this role."

Tatiana Fox, a former WPA North America Board Member, has taken on the critical role of Advocate Program Leader on the International Board Division. Montealegre and Fox are working collaboratively to recruit new board members to strengthen the WPA International Board Division.

To celebrate the launch of the WPA International Board Division, a "Purple Party" happy hour and meet-and-greet will be held on 27 April 2023, at the Malta Hilton, coinciding with the Malta Poker Festival.
