October proves a robust month for Louisiana's riverboats

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- Riverboat casino win in Louisiana rose 13 percent in October compared to the same month in 2014, The Advocate reported.

The increase was due to a 25 percent rise in revenue specifically at the L'Auberge Baton Rouge, the report said.

Only the Hollywood Casino saw a small decrease in revenue, while land based casinos also a 0.3 percent drop in winnings, according The Advocate report.
