New Russian casino faces outcry over doped up tiger

RUSSIA -- The Tigre de Cristal has opened its doors with controversy, the UK Express reported.

A tigress was allegedly sedated and traipsed around the casino during its opening ceremony, the report said.

The casino has opened attempting to lure gamblers from nearby Asian markets, but feelings are strong in this region of Russia about preservation of the Siberian tiger, the UK Express report said.

Police have opened an investigation, according to the report.
