Ireland: Paddy Power slashes odds on YES vote in Same Sex Marriage Referendum

DUBLIN -- The polls were open, the people were voting in a referendum to change the constitution approve marriage between same sex couples today, The Mirror reported.

Paddy Power the Irish bookmaker were offering odds on a YES landslide vote, which over the course of the day changed from 1/10 to 1/25, the report said.

The bookmaker predicated a 96.15% chance of a YES outcome, The Mirror reported.

Irish people, especially young people, travelled home from all over the world to be able to vote in the Marriage Referendum, which saw the #HomeToVote trending on Twitter.
