NEW JERSEY - Casinos in Atlantic City need to improve the standard of their surveillance beyond the gaming floor a lawmaker has decreed and proposed legislation to tackle the issue, the Press of Atlantic City reported.
The legislation filed in response to a vicious attack that took place in a casino stairwell, where there was no surveillance cameras, the report said.
Celeste Riley proposed legislation calls for casinos to match the level of monitoring currently employed on the gaming floor to other areas of the property such as staircases and hallways, according to the Press of Atlantic City report.
