PokerStars New Jersey Championship of Online Poker returns

From 29 September to 15 October, players can win a share of $1.5 million in total guaranteed prize money on PokerStars New Jersey, with more than $1 million in NJCOOP prize pools.

NJCOOP offers players tournaments with stakes ranging from $25 to $1,000 across a variety of formats including mixed games and Pot Limit Omaha, providing something for every poker player and bankroll. Highlights of the series include the $500 No Limit Hold’em Main Event ($150,000 guarantee) as well as the $250 NL Hold’em Sunday Special ($60,000 guarantee) and the $1,000 NL Hold’em High Roller ($50,000 guarantee).

Three Passes will be awarded across the series — one to the winner of the $86 Moneymaker Tour Event on Sunday, 30 September as well as one each to the winners of the ‘NJCOOP Main Event Entrants All-in Shootout’, taking place on October 16 at 20:00 ET, and the ‘NJCOOP Entrants All-in Shootout,’ taking place on 16 October at 21:00 ET.

Satellites for the 47-tournament series will be available from 18 September from as little as $1 with daily Second Chance Freerolls as well as the NJCOOP $10K Main Event Depositor freeroll. Each time a player busts out of an NJCOOP event without making the money they will automatically receive a ticket to a Second Chance Freeroll, where they can win tickets into other NJCOOP events and satellites. These freerolls run at 18:00 ET from 30 September to 15 October (with exception of 14 October at 15:00 ET). In addition, players who deposit $50 or more using the code ‘NJCOOP’ before 18:59 ET on Saturday, October 13 will get a ticket to the NJCOOP $10K Main Event Depositor freeroll, where the top 20 players will be awarded with a $500 Main Event entry. Special edition $4 Spin & Go’s awarding tickets to the $500 NL Hold’em Main Event will start on 18 September and run until 14 October.

Eight Passes have already been awarded to US players, including PCA National Championship winner Maria Konnikova, PCA Day 2 draw winner Thai Ha, PCA Wild Card Winner David Peters, NJSCOOP Main Event Winner (High) Michael Page, NJSCOOP Main Event Winner (Low) Derik Lee, LIPS National Championship Alice Zheng. There’s also Moneymaker PSPC Tour champion Cliff Ellefson, who picked up a Pass at Stones Gambling Hall, and Jahngir (John) Mokhtari, the oldest Platinum Pass winner to date, who picked up a Pass at Lucky Chances.

NJCOOP returns with $1.2 million guarantee

The New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP) is returning this October to PokerStars New Jersey, announced PokerStars, the flagship brand of The Stars Group.

From 30 September to 16 October, players can win a share of the huge $1.2 million guaranteed prize pool. Satellites for the 46-tournament strong series are now available from as little as $1, providing a variety of ways to get maximum NJCOOP value, including daily second chance freerolls with a total of $25K added in NJCOOP tickets. Special edition $4 Spin & Gos awarding tickets to the $500 NL Hold'em Main Event started on Thursday, 14 September and run until 15 October.

PokerStars announces NJSCOOP schedule

With $1.1 million in guaranteed prize money, the first-ever PokerStars New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker (NJSCOOP) will be the richest online series ever held in the region, PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. brand, revealed today.

The first NJSCOOP will take place from May 15-29 featuring 27 events across two stakes (Low and High), meaning a total of 54 tournaments will be on offer.

The 15-day schedule features a wide range of tournaments at a variety of different buy-ins to suit players of all bankrolls. The prestigious two-day NL Hold'em Main Event will feature buy-ins of $50 (Low) and $500 (High) with guaranteed prize pools of $30,000 and $200,000 respectively. Daily online qualifiers to all the events are running now at PokerStars New Jersey, with satellites starting from just $1.
