Mexican Independence Day celebrations triumphantly returned to the Las Vegas Strip from 10-17 September, with Live Nation Las Vegas once again bringing a stellar lineup of Latin music's hottest superstars to venues across the city, performing live for more than 72,000 guests.
A staple in Las Vegas for Mexican Independence (Fiestas Patrias) over the past several years, Alejandro Fernández performed his two sold-out AMOR y PATRIA shows at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas Garden Arena on Thursday, 15 September and Saturday, 17 September.
GRAMMY Award-winning superstar Mr. Worldwide, aka Pitbull, brought his North American Can’t Stop Us Now Tour, with special guest Iggy Azalea, to Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas for two sold-out nights on Friday, 16 September and Saturday, 17 September.
Multiple GRAMMY Award-winner Carlos Santana, who recently announced new dates for his long-running residency at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, performed a series of shows starting Wednesday, Sept. 14 running through this Sunday, 25 September.
Award-winning Colombian singer-songwriter Sebastián Yatra brought his “Dharma World Tour” to The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday, 10 September.
Regional Mexican singer Carin León performed at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday, 15 September, and the following evening, Latin music icon Gloria Trevi brought her Isla Divina World Tour 2022 to the Mandalay Bay venue on Friday, 16 September. Then, on Saturday, 17 September, Los Ángeles Azules took over the arena with their De Iztapalapa Para el Mundo Tour.
Fans were also able to enjoy the festivities outdoors at Mandalay Bay Beach, with Caifanes performing for two nights on Saturday, 10 September and Sunday, 11 September as part of the Concerts on the Beach Series. Then, on Friday, 16 September, Matute brought their "Quinceañera World Tour” to the outdoor venue.
For the first time ever, the hottest Mexican comics, including Franco Escamilla, La Cotorrisa, La India Yuridia, Mike Salazar, Teo Gonzalez and Rogelio Ramos, came together on one stage at the sold-out inaugural “ALV Comedy Fest” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday, 16 September.
Closing out the weekend over at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, 17 September was Emmanuel with a Las Vegas stop on his successful “Toda La Vida” tour.
