Circus Reno prepares to unveil new restaurants

As $50 million in renovations continue at the Eldorado Resorts Reno properties, Circus Circus Hotel Casino - Reno announces that The Habit Burger Grill, Panda Express and Piezzetta Pizza Kitchen will open in the hotel casino's all-new food court. Two of the three fast-casual restaurants will be making their debut in northern Nevada and are expected to open by Memorial Day Weekend. The three establishments further enhance the hotel casino's dining options, joining El Jefe's Cantina, Kanpai Sushi and Sips Coffee and Tea as new additions to Circus Circus Reno.

The new food court is adjacent to the recently renovated Circus Midway, and will offer guests of the Eldorado Resorts complex fresh, high-quality, brand-name quick eateries new to Downtown Reno and over 180 seats in an open common area, perfectly suited for Resort patrons and families looking for fast, delicious food on-the-go.

"We are very excited to add these three new restaurants to our growing portfolio of delicious, diverse food offerings at the Downtown Reno tri-properties," said Glenn Carano, General Manager of the Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus Reno. "These additions join over 20 restaurants at the Eldorado Resorts complex, offering guests a huge variety at our connected properties. As we continue to improve Circus Circus Reno, including newly renovated rooms, we will offer the best variety and highest quality under one roof."

The Habit Burger Grill is best known for their charburgers – 100% fresh ground beef chargrilled over an open flame. One bite of a hot, juicy Charburger and suddenly you're in Santa Barbara, 1969. After all, it was in that picturesque, coastal Southern California town, in the same year that the first astronauts landed on the moon, that the original Habit Burger Grill opened its doors. Soon after, an entrepreneurial young employee and his equally enterprising brother, both on a mission to provide a great burger at a great price, borrowed money from their mom to buy the unassuming restaurant nestled among the Spanish Colonial architecture of Goleta Beach and nearby bungalow homes.

In pursuit of a new standard of freshness, they began with daily-baked buns from a local bakery and grilled them alongside perfectly seasoned beef until they were warm and toasty. They sourced fresh California produce for the ripest tomatoes and leafiest lettuce available. And, of course, they installed a stainless steel charbroiler with cast-iron grill designed to sear smoky flavors into every burger placed upon its fiery grates. Once they earned a reputation for serving the tastiest burgers on the coast, the brothers turned their attention to other beach-inspired recipes – like a fresh-grilled albacore sandwich made with line-caught tuna, a chicken sandwich topped with crisp bacon and velvety avocado and crisp salads made-to-order. One bite of a Charburger will transport you to a place where cool ocean breezes sweep gently through majestic green palm fronds and a time when two enterprising young brothers established what it means to "Make a Habit."

Charburger variations include a teriyaki charburger with grilled pineapple, teriyaki sauce, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, caramelized onions, pickle and mayo on a toasted bun or the vegetarian-friendly roasted garlic portabella char with portabella mushrooms, melted white American cheese, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, caramelized onions, pickle and roasted garlic aioli on a toasted bun. Made-to-order sandwiches are also available including a tri-tip steak sandwich, albacore tuna filet and the chain’s new golden chicken sandwich, a fresh, filleted chicken breast, hand-breaded with house-made seasoned flour and buttermilk, cooked to a juicy golden brown and topped with creamy, spiced red pepper sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.

The Cherng Family opened the first Panda Express in 1983 in Glendale, California, and today the extended restaurant family stretches from coast to coast and around the world, with over 1,650 restaurants nationwide. From world-famous Orange Chicken to health-minded Wok Smart selections, Panda Express defines American Chinese cuisine. Bold flavors and fresh ingredients are freshly prepared every day. Chefs at Panda Express are famous for wokking up delicious, one-of-a-kind entrees such as zesty Beijing Beef and Honey Walnut Shrimp. Guests also enjoy a large menu of other traditional Chinese dishes like spicy Kung Pao Chicken and savory Broccoli Beef.
