Kewadin Casinos names new CEO

Michael Olujic has been named the new CEO of Kewadin Casinos, five gaming properties with over 2,000 slot machines, 55 table games, two hotels, convention and meeting facilities and other amenities in Michigan's picturesque Upper Peninsula.

Olujic brings 15 years of management experience and more than a decade of gaming and tribal financial experience to Kewadin Casinos. Some of Olujic's top priorities are to reinvigorate Kewadin Casinos through new brand strategies and intensive capital improvements, and to enhance all five Kewadin properties. Through these improvements, Kewadin Casinos will continue to be the pinnacle of gaming in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

"Kewadin Casinos already are prime destinations for Upper Peninsula residents and visitors who enjoy staying, dining and gaming in one of the most scenic and beautiful regions of North America," Olujic said. "In the coming months, customers will see changes that will introduce new life and excitement to the Kewadin properties."

Olujic understands the values that drive the gaming and hospitality industry. He previously held senior leadership positions as General Manager at both the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in Chandler, Arizona and North Star Mohican Casino Resort in Bowler, Wisconsin. Olujic also worked as CFO of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin in Green Bay.

Olujic is a member of the Oneida Nation of Indians of Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Marquette University.

"We are very pleased to have Michael leading our efforts in placing Kewadin Casinos among Michigan's top spots for entertainment in the beautiful Upper Peninsula," said Sault Tribe Chairperson and Kewadin Gaming Authority Chair Aaron Payment. "Olujic already has made great strides just in the short time he has been here, and we look forward to seeing that continue."
