MASSACHUSETTS -- Horse racing benefits from a special casino revenue fund that some are arguing should be redistributed to other state needs, according to a Boston Globe report.
Horse racing has declined in the state with only one thoroughbred horse track remaining, the report said.
$5 million of casino developer licensing fees lies in a horse racing related fund that was established four years ago, but the feeling is that horse racing may not rebound in the state and the money could be distributed elsewhere, the Boston Globe report said.
